Blink-182, Angels & Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge to write Poet comic

Blink-182's Tom DeLonge is working on a comic.

Magnetic Press will publish the three-issue Poet miniseries as part of a new project from DeLonge's band Angels & Airwaves, reports Robot 6.

Writer Ben Kull (Mission Hill, The Oblongs) and artist Djet Stéphane are collaborating with the musician on the comic, which serves as a prequel to the upcoming animated Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker short.

The comic centres around teenager Jonas Anderson, who "discovers an innate ability to lucid dream, opening the doors to an entire universe of wonders and dangers that effect his waking life in ways that will define his fate forever".

Angels & Airwaves' The Dream Walker album will be released in December alongside the short, with a feature-length animation also in the works.

Poet will be released in spring 2015.
