Fast & Furious 7 Changes Name to Furious 7, Releases Retrospective With Paul Walker

Back on the racetrack. In anticipation of the 2015 premiere of the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, Universal released new details and video for the upcoming film this past weekend.

The movie studio has shortened the name of the action flick, which it calls "the very best movie yet," to just Furious 7. The swap was promoted with the release of a retrospective video called "The Road To Furious 7."

Coming in at just under three minutes, the clip offers shots of the previously released six Fast & Furious movies, focusing on starring actor Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker
Walker, who died at age 40 in a car accident in November 2013, will appear in Furious 7, as he began filming the movie before his death and his brothers Cody and Caleb Walker have stepped in to finish his work.

Famous scenes from the franchise are highlighted in the retrospective, including clips with Ludacris, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Rita Ora, Michael Ealy, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and others.  The late Walker, who played Brian O'Conner in the films, is shown racing cars, telling Diesel's character Dominic Toretto that he "almost" had him, and teaming up with his comrades for a job.

Watch the retrospective above, and catch Furious 7 in theaters on April 3, 2015.
