MxPx Album Collection

MxPx is a punk rock band that was formed in 1992 in Bremerton, Washington, United States.

MxPx started as three 15-year-old kids calling themselves Magnified Plaid pounding out music inspired by and similar to The Descendents and other Southern California punk rock bands. They didn’t really love their band name, however, which was a tribute to the original guitarist’s penchant for wearing one particularly loud plaid shirt. Consequently, the name was abbreviated to M.P., but in Yuri’s handwriting, periods become “X“‘s and since he made up the show posters for the band, the four-letter moniker stuck

Secret Weapon is MxPx's eighth full-length studio album, which was released on July 17, 2007. It is the band's first release on their original label Tooth & Nail Records since 1996's Life in General. The album debuted at No. 76 on the Billboard 200; it also went to No. 1 on the Billboard's Christian chart. The album's sound goes back to their beginning sound.

Panic is the seventh full-length album by the band MxPx It was released on June 6, 2005- internationally and a day later in the United States. This was a breakthrough album when the single "Heard That Sound" proved a minor radio hit. It also featured the Blink-182/+44 singer-bassist Mark Hoppus on "Wrecking Hotel Rooms

Pokinatcha is the debut studio album by the punk rock band MxPx released on October 4, 1994, through Tooth & Nail Records. The album is composed of influence from skate/surf punk and punk underground. The album's name came from a Snicker's candy bar commercial, saying hunger is, "Poking at you". The songs are characterized by their raw punk sound, catchy rhythm, and classic punk three-chord guitar style. It was the only album to include original guitarist Andy Husted.
