The American rocker has enjoyed global success with his band Fall Out Boy, who released their debut album Take This to Your Grave in 2003.
After a brief hiatus, which Pete described as the band decompressing, the group are stronger than ever. Reflecting on their time in the spotlight, Pete says playing for musical heavyweights Jay and Beyoncé filled him with worry.
"They've been so many [highlights], but Jay Z and Beyoncé used to come to our shows in the US. I'd get a little nervous but it was cool. We hung out with Jay afterwards and he gave us all Roc-A-Fella chains," Pete recalled to British magazine Now.
Pete found fame in his early 20s, and went on to have a high-profile marriage to singer Ashlee Simpson.
Although there are obvious pitfalls of fame, the 35-year-old would still chase a career in the spotlight if he wasn't playing music.
"I have a record label, but I love being in front of the camera - either acting or presenting. My dream show would be Game of Thrones, but there no way I could get the accent right!" he enthused.
Away from work duties Pete has his hands full with sons Saint, five months, with girlfriend Meagan Camper and six-year-old Bronx, from his marriage to Ashlee.
He loves fatherhood and has been on hand to give bandmate and new dad Patrick Stump any advice he needs.
"Oh yeah [I'm a hands on dad]! I change diapers and all that kind of stuff. They keep me on my toes. Patrick has just had a son too and he's doing a good job. He's a great dad," he smiled.
